Complaints advisory service

Jennifer is the independent complaints advisor for the United Kingdom Home Care Association. She investigates and arbitrates on complaints against care providers. She now offers a complaints advisory service to individual businesses – helping to draw up complaints procedures and deal with individual complaints.

Here are just some of the projects we have worked on:

Business development

  • Helping companies to establish new home care businesses in the UK (advising on business strategy, marketing, staff recruitment and policies and procedures).
  • Producing five-year business development plans for a leading home care charity after the loss of a large local authority contract (including researching business opportunities, working with the board and liaising with staff).
  • Helping a home care company to identify and develop innovative new partnerships with two of Britain’s largest charities.
  • Working with a medium sized home care provider, identifying and developing a niche market business opportunity and assisting them with the marketing and operational strategy. 

Staff development

  • Planning website content for a leading home care provider and new business ventures. Writing, planning and sourcing innovative content, acting as main point of contact to shortlist, select and work with leading website designers, and managing the projects.
  • Writing and planning advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Assisting the UKHCA with the development of membership services and managing a number of membership recruitment drives and promotional activities.

Larger projects

  • Co-ordinating a ground-breaking nationwide training project for one of Britain’s largest charities.
  • Carrying out detailed due diligence work for a major Scottish home care provider looking to introduce a large software application across its existing operational network (involving  site visits, assessment of current processes, liaising with the software company and internal staff over the integration, identified training needs and method of delivery and looking at financial implications and alternatives).
  • Major due diligence work on multi-million-pound care home projects for a business consortium.
